Rabid Raging hearts

My warmest Sunshine!

How are you? How has your week been? I hope all things are well with you. A new month has begun and I cannot help but wonder, how fast time flies. It reminds me of a hamster on a wheel, you’re running, running, panting wheezing, but you have not gotten anywhere. I feel like I am living the same day over and over and over again in a never-ending washing machine cycle. I take the same route to work, repeat the same clothes, laugh at jokes, look at the sun, look at the clouds and get drenched in the rain (Imagine all of this in a very aesthetic golden filter Instagram reel)The existential dread is gradually catching up to me.

Today’s topic is on love. Platonic, romantic, familial, religion I will be yapping about it all. I am going to start off with platonic the best kind let’s be honest.  Friendship is honestly the best type of love you can experience. A bond so strong that it really passes the test of time and stands anchored. A good friend is a priceless asset. To have someone you can just honestly lean on and trust and completely be yourself is a rare find. In this day and age where friendship is built on clout, money and hate it is extremely hard to find a friend who will see you through every difficult situation. It is friends like that who really make life worth all the icky moments.

Next up we have romantic. Some people consider love a cure, some a rabid disease. You decide which category you fall under. Post pandemic, with the free usage of podcasts and people with microphones and the internet being a place where all sorts of mangled opinions are shared, love is one such topic that takes the center stage. So much scrutiny and hatred, makes you think the world really sees love as a rabid disease and nothing more. Very few instances occur where the love is real, honest and pure.

Familia. Family will always be there, or they won’t. You may not get the chance to choose your biological family, but for sure you can make your own. Family is a bond when nurtured really blossoms into the most beautiful home. A place where you grow to be a person. Family plays such a huge role in upbringing, values, loyalty, love and respect. It is what you see at home, do you choose to project or reject outside your home. Religion is a sensitive topic. Each individual in my opinion is born with no thoughts or opinions, it is family, friends, love and society that really adds and subtracts thoughts from the individual making them a person. A person with ideas and beliefs.

Two things unite these topics. Loyalty and Love. Modern love teaches you that it can exist without loyalty. But how is it love if you are not loyal? Loyalty to yourself, integrity to your beliefs, love will weave itself into the nooks and crannies making you whole. A very simple concept truly but there are so many external factors that affect this adversely. Factors that both you and I have been subjected too. Factors that make or break you. It depends on who you are as a person to either uphold yourself or become one in the crowd. The road less travelled is always narrow, but the prize is always sweet.

Enough of me being philosophical. I really truly miss you Sunshine. We may argue, we may fight, at the end of the day it will always be you I come back to. I really wish we could have a do over and figure things out and stay on the same page, because I am not so keen on closing this chapter yet. You will always be the Sun. Bright, warm, unyielding and fierce. I really do enjoy basking in your light.

-         XOXO

Jess

P.S - Again, this ‘Sunshine’ is a part of my imagination and I like making up story lines when I am bored. Do not sit and overthink about this, you don’t have that type of time either. Life is too short let me live in my delulu world.
