An Introduction I suppose?

Hey Sunshine,

After a lot of thought and mulling over ifs, what’s and what ifs. I’ve decided to document my everyday musings onto this virtual landscape in hopes that my head, heart and soul can finally rid itself of the gunk it has been accumulating. To give a bit of background to the characters in my life including myself, this periodic collection will try to hold together all the bits and pieces I so frequently sweep under the bath mats my mother places at the door. I will also acknowledge that for years I belittled pink because it never looked good on me, but pink is also a lovely statement (Post Barbie mostly) and I have fully started to embrace all my female whims and fancies in hopes that somewhere someone can find a cord of resemblance to find a level of relatability to. At 22 somehow life has managed to throw a couple of curve balls and a lot more Pennywise infused surprises my way, life does have a lovely way of sneaking up on you. The purpose of this blog is something that I may figure out during the course of time, till then you have a few of my bad jokes, laughable memories and truly iconic epiphanies to look forward to.

Today was a sultry, humid and hot Sunday that reminded me more of the Kathiri Veyil than of a rainy October, but Chennai does have a knack for being unpredictable that is what makes it feel more like home. I have been trying to push past my comfort zone and step away from the cliched tags, but even the steeping away from stereotypes is now a stereotype. A paradox in itself. In an attempt to do so, I like to form connections, meet new people, get to know them albeit would be preferred to do so in person, I stick to the ways of the internet and the multiple social media platforms at my disposal. From finding new hobbies to obsess over to rekindling past flames, social media has been a nice outlet. Though I mostly use it to procrastinate and scroll through memes while simultaneously spamming my friends DMs with the same, Instagram and Snapchat are 2 things that keep me sane. I managed to make a significant dent in my novel today, thought I still haven’t scrapped the pages of the climax yet. Murder is quite frankly the female version of the ‘Roman Empire’ and a lot of you ladies might agree. Murder has an odd sense of calm to it that drives you to think, use the crevices of your brain, and it also helps me strike off a lot more characteristics that classify me as textbook psychopath. But that’s just me sunshine. I do have a song recommendation for you if you are interested, feel free to sip on tea and listen to some Billy Joel. If you are in for some more energy do listen to Queen.

I also spent a lot of time wondering the magic that is Jude Bellingham. As someone who believes that football is blue, Jude clearly is the latest sensation that has rendered my heart to waver towards white. By the way sunshine, I hope your Sunday was alright and I hope you got to do all the things you find the most relaxing for you. I know work/studying is a struggle, between exams and life lessons we all grew up looking forward to hits of dopamine instead of endorphins. Well, it’s a Monday tomorrow I can’t say if I look forward to it or if I dread it but Mondays are a lovely little surprise in itself. Its spooky season already. Have you picked out your costumes? Or thought of dressing up? If not, you should. Because I’m sure you would make a dashing villain.

I’m going to bid adieu for the week Bubs, I hope you know I’m here rooting for ya and I’m gonna send you a warm hug filled with glitter to make your smile just a bit wider and your night a bit nicer.

Yours Truly

Peanutbutter & Jess.
