Peanut butter and Jess

  My dearest Sunshine! How have you been? Has your week been productive? I hope all things are well with you. This past week has been quite a rollercoaster of emotions. What will Jess talk about this week… hmmm after much deliberation, I have landed on the topic of ‘potential and relationships’ If you are anything like me (I recommend not to be) but if you are, wearing your heart on your sleeve is such an early 2000’s thing to do. Don’t be naïve enough to show everyone how you wear your heart on your sleeve too. To quote Raye ‘Fallin in love is what stupid girls do, don’t be a stupid girl’ I may sound a lot more pessimistic than last time. Fall in love girlie pop, don’t you dare fall in love with potential. What is potential? It’s the ability to develop into ‘something’ in the future. WHY DO YOU BASE YOUR JOY ON SOMETHING??? It is not like this something may entirely be bad or good. Don’t hope on potential. The hardest lesson I have learnt is to put your head over your heart....

  My dearest Sunshine! How are you? I hope you are alright. I have been caught up with multiple things these past few weeks. Life has been keeping me on my toes. That could also be my heels, but life recently has taught me to adult pretty hard. I hope life has been kind to you as well.           I thought a lot about what I was going to write about in today’s blog. Well, I landed on nothing, I apologize in advance if this letter is all over the place. Today we celebrate the small things in life. Despite the mundane experience that corporate has shoved down our throats. Today we celebrate and find joy in the small things. The small things, a simple piece of chocolate, a warm hug, peals of laughter from a friend, ice cream dates, whispered prayers, small goals. All of it. Mondays are drab and mundane already, and as weeks move ahead swifter  and we age just a bit faster, enjoy the small moments of silence and stillness. This yea...
